Around us
Mechelen is conveniently located between Brussels and Antwerp and has a direct train connection from Zaventem airport (11 minutes). In good weather, you can admire the skyline of those two cities: our capital and the diamond city from our Sint-Romboutstoren! We are proud of our city and we are happy to guide you off the beaten track.
There is plenty to do for both families and couples. The landscaped park “Vrijbroekpark” is practically located in our garden and has a playground, sports fields and a walking route. Via the pedestrian crossroad 187 and cycling road 93, you can also discover the beautiful nature of Rivierenland: where the Senne, the Dyle and the canal come together.
And you also have our beautiful city with its many churches and municipal parks. In Mechelen, you have to allow yourself to let go and wander aimlessly: it's impossible to really get lost. And by taking a small alley here and there, you will always make a new discovery.
